Guy W. Shilts, Jr. is the founder and CEO of CrossRoads Counseling Center and has been a psychotherapist for over 30 years. He is Wisconsin licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist, Independent Clinical Social Worker and a Professional Counselor, Certified Drug & Alcohol Counselor. He is also a member of the National Board of Certified Counselors, the National Board of Mental Health Counselors and a Clinical Member of Marriage and Family Therapists.
Guy holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, with an emphasis in psychology and human relations. He holds a Masters in counseling with an emphasis in individual, group and marriage and family; Incurring 30 graduate credits above a Masters in psychology and marriage and family. Guy has expertise in many areas of psychotherapy which include marriage and family, depression, group, individual, grief loss, parenting, anger management and anxiety. Guy works with children, adolescents and adults.
In addition to this, he has either founded or been on the Board of Directors of many community organizations. Some of them include: Association for Retarded People; Child Advocacy Council, President; Village Craftsman; Advisory Board Member of Janesville Area Singles, Inc.; Janesville Youth Program, President and Treasurer; Child Abuse/Neglect Network, President; and Charter Member of the American Mental Health Counselors Association, Treasurer.
